Eket APC Leaders Declare Support for Tinubu, Eno, Akpabio’s Re-election

Support for the re-election of President Bola Tinubu, Governor Umo Eno, and Senate President Godswill Akpabio in 2027 continues to gain momentum in Akwa Ibom State.

The latest endorsement came from leaders and stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Akwa Ibom South (Eket) Senatorial District during a stakeholders’ engagement held in Eket.

At the meeting, the leaders also announced Chief Assam Assam, SAN, as the party’s political leader for the senatorial district.

In her remarks, the Deputy Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Senator Akon Eyakenyi, highlighted the significance of the gathering for the people of Eket Senatorial District. She commended Governor Eno for his leadership and foresight in aligning with the APC, noting that the move has brought positive outcomes and new opportunities for the state.

She further explained that the unanimous adoption of Ambassador Assam Assam, SAN, as the APC leader in Eket Senatorial District reflected his reputation as a principled, courageous, and truthful leader.

The Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Mkpisong Frank Archibong, who spoke on behalf of the commissioners, stated that as the Governor’s “First Eleven,” they would mobilize support for the re-election of Governor Eno, President Tinubu, and Senator Akpabio, in line with the consensus reached at the meeting.

State Party Chairman, Chief Stephen Ntukekpo, described Chief Assam Assam as an influential and inspiring leader whose emergence has strengthened confidence within the party.

He emphasized the strategic importance of the district in the state’s political structure, noting that it comprises 12 of the 31 local government areas.

Ntukekpo added that the party was pleased with the overwhelming support for Chief Assam Assam, stressing that leadership is defined by advocacy and the ability to represent the interests of the people.

He expressed optimism that the district would continue to witness progress under leaders committed to its development and collective aspirations.

Also speaking, the College of Personal Aides, through its Dean, Dr. Essien Ndueso, expressed appreciation to the Governor for the opportunity to serve, pledging total support and loyalty.

“We will double our support for the re-election of President Bola Tinubu, Governor Umo Eno, and all APC candidates in the forthcoming elections as a show of gratitude to our boss, the Governor,” Ndueso said.
