Ekeoba Community Seeks Govt Aid On Health Centre

Abia state government has been urged to rehabilitate Ekeoba Ultra Modern Health center in Umu-ogba Ekeoba, Ohuhu Umuahia North Local Government Area (L. G.A) Abia State.
The officer in charge of the health centre who disclosed this during an interaction with our reporter at Ekeoba Ultra Modern Health Centre added that the health facility is in dire need of government assistance.

‘The medical center is experiencing enormous challenges ranging from security, lack of good working environment, no water supply, limited bed spaces among others.

She maintained that the only four bed spaces in the health facility are not enough to carter of the Ekeoba community’.

Information gathered revealed says that the umuahia North Local Government Area has only one doctor assigned to the health centers and he visits Ekeoba health centre when ever the need arises.
One of the patients, Mrs Blessing Williams, attested to the fact that there has been a robust transformation since last year, stating that before now people never wished to be treated in the health centre.
‘There is a great improvement since this administration took over in October 2020. Today against all odds, pregnant women deliver their babies at the health center’, she noted
