Eid El Maulud: Ikpeazu Salutes Abia Moslems, Sues For Peace.

 

As Moslem Faithfuls in Abia state join all adherents of the Islamic faith to celebrate the Eid El Maulud which commemorates the birth of Prophet Mohammed, Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has charged them to sustain the peace that has defined life in the state.

Governor Ikpeazu gave the charge in a press statement made available to Newsmen by his Chief Press Secretary, Onyebuchi Ememanka.

The Governor who used the opportunity to sue for peaceful coexistence amongst the diverse ethnic and religious groups in the State, urged Moslems to see the event as a platform for spiritual renewal and to pray for calm and peace in Abia state, especially in the aftermath of the violent protests of the last couple of days.

He reaffirmed the commitment of his administration to be relentless in the pursuit of a conducive environment for everyone to pursue his legitimate undertakings and practice his religion without any fear of molestation.
