Eid-el-Kabir: NSCDC Assures Enugu Residents of Adequate Security

The Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Enugu State Command, Mr. Aloysius Udemadu Obiorah, has assured residents of adequate security during and after Eid-el-Kabir celebration.

Obiorah, who stated this on Sunday in Enugu, also said that the issue of security of life and property of Nigerians cannot be compromised no matter the circumstances.

He expressed the readiness of the Corps and other security agencies in the State to ensure that the State remained one of the most peaceful states in the Country.

According to him, all the special squads of the Command are in red alert to nip any unwanted development on the bud.

“I charge all the personnel of the Command to redouble their efforts towards discharging their duties effectively and efficiently in line with the directive of the Commandant General Ahmed A Audi.”

The Commandant equally cautioned the personnel of the Command to be up and doing, stressing that his administration was not ready to entertain stories but prompt reaction to any unruly experience.

He said, “should anything take us unawares the response must be apt and direct.”

The NSCDC boss, called on members of the public to always report to security services any suspicious movement, or happenings within their locality for immediate action.

He congratulated Muslims in the State, urging them to use the occasion to pray for peace in the Country and against insecurity.

He urged Nigerians not to loose hope in the Country despite the security challenges, noting that Nigeria will come out stronger at the end of the day.
