The member representing Ukwa-East State Constituency, in Abia State House of Assembly, Hon. Lewis Obianyi has called on Muslims faithfuls to pray for peace and unity of Nigeria.
Hon. Lewis who made the call today, in his goodwill message to mark this year’s Eid-el-Kabir celebration, urged Nigerians to be patriotic and support government at all levels in their bids towards delivering dividends of democracy to the people.
Hon. Lewis who also decried the untold hardship people are experiencing in Nigeria due to fuel subsidy removal, called on the Federal Government (FG) to urgently provide some palliative measures to cushion the negative effects of the development.
He revealed that about Four Million people in Nigeria according to NBS, now live below poverty line since the removal of fuel subsidy, a situation he described as worrisome.
He called on Abians and Nigerians at large to be steadfast, peaceful and patriotic, adding that Nigeria would be great again.
