Egwuibe hails Gov Ikpeazu over critical Infrastructural Developments in Aba

A community leader of Nenu community in Obingwa Local Government Area (LGA) and a philanthropist, Chief Eric Egwuibe has applauded the Abia state Governor, Dr. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu for infrastructural development in Aba and other parts of the state.

Speaking with newsmen in Aba, Chief Egwuibe stated that there is a remarkable giant strides in Aba, adding that roads like Ehere, Ukaegbu, Azuka, Abayi-Umungasi, Faulks roads among others used to be in a horrible state but have been fixed by Gov Ikpeazu.

The chartered accountant who further recalled that some of these roads have defiled all known popular remedies offered by past administrations, pointed out that increase in Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) and communual/societal developments are triggered by critical infrastructure whereas infrastructures in Aba would boost IGR.

“Abia was like forest before Gov Ikpeazu came, cleared the forest and is building on it. Eziukwu and Osusu axis as well as Ekwereazu roads attest to that”, he explained.

The Abia state University alumunus who commended Gov Ikpeazu for being proactive in the management of Covid 19 in Abia further described security situation in the state under Gov Ikpeazu as stable, stating that he avoided Abia for four years in the past owing to heightened crimes like kidnapping and armedbberry among others.

Egwuibe who also called for centralized revenue collection system, however, decried multiple revenue collection system in Abia, adding that it would exert so many leakages on the state’s IGR.

“Aba is a home for entrepreneurs. Government should look at the mouribound industries in Aba and its environs and assist them come back on stream just like Gov Ikpeazu did in Golden Guinea Umuahia. This will employ the teeming unemployed in Abia”, he further noted.

He called on Abians to look for a way to help the state government serve them better, especially by paying their taxes promptly.
