The Egi Youth Federation Worldwide has honoured Dr. Kingsley Ogu with the Youth Icon Leadership Award in recognition of his outstanding commitment to youth development and community advancement.
The award presentation took place during the Federation’s 2025 Memorial and Remembrance Day celebration. Speaking at the event, the President of the Federation, Comrade Ikechukwu Amirize, said the recognition followed a rigorous selection process, noting that Dr. Ogu emerged as a “truly deserving recipient” for his exemplary leadership and consistent contributions to youth empowerment.
In his acceptance speech, Dr. Ogu expressed deep appreciation to the Federation for the honour and urged the youths to remain united and focused on meaningful progress.
He emphasized the importance of unity and collaboration in driving development across Egi land, calling on the youths to partner with government agencies, oil companies in OML58, the Obagi Oil Field Board, and other stakeholders to prioritize education, security, and human capital development — with special attention to the girl child.
