Abia State Government has received t sixty cartoons of 500ml hand saniters from the management of Enugu Electricity Distribution Company (EEDC).
Receiving the items from the EEDC Management,Chief of Staff to the Governor, Dr. Anthony Agbazuere thanked the company for assisting the state government to curb the spread of Covid 19.
Describing the act as a welcome development,the Chief of staff said the company has been partners in progress with Abia State government.
He urged the company to synergize with other service providers to settle the issue of estimated bills on their customers adding that something must be done to ensure every customer gets metre, whether prepaid or the other existing metre.
He equally urged the management staff of the company not to take advantage of their customers while installing the prepaid metres for them.
Dr. Agbazuere assured that the hand-sanitizers would be conveyed to the Abia State Committee on Covid 19 to distribute accordingly.
Presenting the items earlier, the Head Corporate Communication of EEDC, Mr. Emeka Eze said the management came to identify with Abia State government in this period of Covid 19 pandemic and to present the hand-sanitizers to help curb the possible spread of Coronavirus in the State.
He expressed the willingness of the EEDC to provide light to the covid 19 isolation facilities in the State and appreaciated the efforts of Abia State Governor in curbing the spread of the pandemic.
