Education, vital to child growth – Emetu
Abia state deputy governor Engr. Ikechukwu Emetu has used the occasion of the graduation ceremony of 2024/2025 set of the Meridian Heights School Umuahia to harp on the need for parents to prioritise the education of their children.
Engr Emetu, who pointed out the significance of education in a child’s development, stated that it remains one of the most valuable investments in a child’s future.
He commended the management of Meridian Heights International School for its commitment to academic excellence and character development, acknowledging its reputation as a reputable institution in Umuahia.
The Deputy Governor commended the Students, Teachers, and Parents for their dedication, which had contributed to the success of the graduating class and congratulated the graduates and encouraged them to be catalysts for positive change in their communities.
He furthermore expressed confidence in their potential to make valuable contributions to the development and growth of Abia State.
In a welcome address, the Proprietor/Head of the School, Dr Uduak Akpan thanked the Deputy Governor for gracing the occasion, reiterating the tireless efforts of the dedicated Teachers and Staff, whose passion for education and commitment to excellence have made a lasting impact on the students’ lives.
He therefore congratulated the graduating students and wished them well in their future endeavors.
