Dr. Chukwu Unveils Plans to Reward Diligent Staff at BPP

In a bid to promote diligence and productivity among staff members, Dr. Oluebube Chukwu, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Due Process and the Public Procurement Bureau, announced plans to implement in-house training and a monthly award for outstanding staff in the agency.

During a management meeting held at the Government House in Umuahia, Dr. Chukwu stated that the initiative aims to encourage hard work, efficiency, and excellence in service delivery, which the Bureau represents.

The Due Process Boss emphasized the importance of rewarding diligence, excellent service delivery, and punctuality among staff members. He assured them of his commitment to their welfare.

Describing the award plan, Dr. Chukwu noted it would be called “Best Staff of the Month,” featuring a monetary package and other incentives to foster healthy competition among staff. He urged them to take their work seriously.

He reiterated his commitment to establishing legacies that promote quality services in the Bureau, in line with the vision of Governor Alex Otti’s administration.

The Director General of the Bureau further mentioned that the ongoing weekly in-house training aims to familiarize all staff with the functions and responsibilities of various departments and the challenges they face.

On behalf of the management team, Mr. Sunday Agoha, the Director of Administration and Chairman of the Selection Committee, thanked Dr. Chukwu for his innovative leadership.

He also revealed that beyond punctuality and quality service delivery, adherence to the core values of civil service rules would be considered in selecting the best staff for the monthly awards.

Present at the meeting were the Director of Finance, Mrs. Ijeoma Chukwuma, the Deputy Director of Information, Mr. Jasper Nkem, and heads of the Procurement and Legal Departments, among others.
