Don’t use NDDC appointment to incite Ogoni people- Nwankwo

President General of United Ikwerre Forum Assembly Chinagorom Nwankwo has urged the President of KAGOTE,  Peter Mede, not to use the appointment of Ikwerre as new Executive Director Of Finance And Administration of Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) to incite Ogoni people against the Ikwerres.
Mr Nwankwo said it is regrettable that Mr Mede will make the comment that an Ogoni man was removed to pave way for the appointment of an Ikwerre man into the management board of the NDDC.
He added that the Ikwerre ethnic nationality as an oil producing area in the state has not been appointed into any exalting position in the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC). He however thanked President Muhammadu Buhari and the minister of transportation for finding Mr. Chris Amadi worthy to serve as Executive Director, Finance and Administration of NDDC.
” Ikwerre son was appointed to assume the office of Executive Director, Finance and Administration, our brothers from Ogoni are complainig. If you want to make it clear, Ogoni oil has been sealed on the ground for the past 25 years. Mene Derek completed the tenure of Henry Okiri to make 4 years as EDFA. We have lived peaceful with Ogoni people, we have no issue by NDDC, and we don’t believe that a man as Peter Mede, a whole chairman will make such statement that they withdraw an Ogoni man to put Ikwerre man to incite Ogoni people against Ikwerre people. We are urging them to play this game by the rule. They should not incite Ogoni people against Ikwerre people. We will not take it from anybody “he stated.
