The Bayelsa state Governor, Douye Diri has condoled with the family of the demise head coach of Bayelsa Queens Football Club, who slumped and died recently.
He described the Coach demise as a huge loss to the family and state at large during his condolence visit to the deceased family in Yenagoa.
The Governor, who was represented by his deputy, Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, recalled that the late head coach, who successfully took Bayelsa Queens to the African Women Champions League finals, succeeded in writing his name in gold in the heart of African football.
He encouraged the bereaved family, especially his wife and children, to be console in the positive legacies he left behind, he further assured them, that the State Government would give them every necessary support during and after their trying time, including participating in the burial.
Responding on behalf of the Okara family, Chief Baribote Victor Rumson, expressed their appreciation to Governor Diri and his deputy for the condolence visit, describing it as a clear show of love and support to the family.
Chief Baribote pointed out that the demise of Coach Domo Okara was a huge blow to his wife, children and the entire family, adding that when the traditional mourning period was over, they would communicate the burial date and arrangements to the government.
Senator Ewhrudjakpo, was accompanied by the Speaker of the Bayelsa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Abraham Ingobere; the member representing Yenagoa Constituency 2, Hon. Waikumo Amakoromo; Chairman of State Independent Electoral Commission, Dr. Peter Singabele. The Commissioner for Sports, Dr. Daniel Igali.
