Diobu residence warn not to attend cross over with their phones

Secretary of Diobu vigilante Prince .I. Amateri has warned residents of the area not to attend cross over services on the 31st night with their phones and other valuables. Mr Ibibilade said hoodlums in the area are planning to rub worshippers of their valuables during cross over services like they did last year.

” I want to use this opportunity to inform all residents of Diobu to inform their children who are perpetuating all kind of crime to stay away from these crime. And i also want to inform residents of Diobu that on 31st night,people should keep their phones and valuables at home before going to church because hoodlums are planning to wait for persons who are coming from church to rub them of their phones and valuables “he stated.

He also advised Rivers State government to invest more money from the 18bn allocated for security in 2019 on community policing and intelligent gathering.

” the police can’t fight this crime alone. The only way this issue can be addressed is to promote and equipped the Neighborhood Safety Core Agency to start functioning. You will be weak and cry if I give you record of how people are rubbed and raped on daily basis”
he stated.

He also said that in the early hours of January 2018, members of Diobu vigilante arrested three arm rubbery suspect,who intended to snatch phones and money from the residents of the area who were returning from cross over services. One other suspect was also arrested while allegedly making attempt to snatch a car from a taxi driver with other gang members.
