DG Ogechi Cares Lauds Hon Jerry Uzosike

 

The Director General, Ogechi Cares Organization world wide, Mr Obi Akaegbu, has lauded the sterling qualities of the member representing Umuahia South State Constituency, Hon Jerry Uzosike.

Ogechi Cares Foundation which was formed in 2018, was basically set up to gather support for the House member during and after the 2019 general elections, has successfully put smiles on people for four years.

According to the DG, the Umuahia South Lawmaker, has been using the organization to lend helping hand to students through his scholarship scheme, the widows, the youths and elderly. “Most recent is the building of a two bedroom bungalow and handed over to one Mrs Chinwe Anyaso”,he stated.

Akaegbu disclosed that Hon Uzosike has shown a good example and has performed excellently in his few years of representation, with direct projects that positively create impact on the people.

He also revealed that the Lawmaker has built two more bungalows to give to more widows,stating that Umuahia South is satisfied and happy with the representation of Hon Uzosike and wishes to continues to represent the area come 2023.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Governor of Abia State, Sir. Ude Oko Chukwu has commended the member representing Umuahia South State Constituency , Chief Jerry Uzosike for living up to the expectations of his constituents, through purposeful representations in areas of law making and provision of basic amenities.

Sir.Oko Chukwu who made the commendation during the presentation of Scorecard and empowerment by the member representing Umuahia South State Constituency, Hon Jerry Uzosike to members of his Constituency held at Amizi Olokoro in Umuahia South Local Governmen Area, noted that apart from other members of the 7th Assembly, Hon Uzosike had sponsored motions and laws that have made positive impact on his people.

The Deputy Governor reminded Chief Jerry Uzosike that the reward for good work is to continue to do more and lauded the traditional rulers for appreciating the impact their sons, the speaker of Abia State House of Assembly, Chief Chinedu Orji and Chief Jerry Uzosike are making in the House of Assembly, Umuahia and Abia at large, by honouring them with Chieftaincy Titles and urged them to sustain the trust reposed on them.

He reassured the people of Olokoro of Government’s willingness to always carry them along in the scheme of things through the provision of basic amenities and infrastructural development and enjoined them to remain loyal and supportive of the present administration under the leadership of the Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu.

In his remarks, the Speaker Abia State House of Assembly, Engr. Chinedu Orji after the conferment of a Chieftaincy title of “Okonwa 1 of Olokoro” on him, by the traditional Rulers of Umuahia South council charged political appointees to remain committed to meeting the yearnings and demands of people of their Constituency in orders to remain relevant in the system and commended the member representing Umuahia South State Constituency, for utilizing his funds judiciously in embarking on meaningful projects that are of benefit to his constituents.

In his speech the member representing Umuahia South State Constituency, Chief Jerry Uzosike, while appreciating God for what He has done for him and his family, said he has always embarked on projects that have direct impact on his people and reaffirmed his promise to continue to commission projects and offer more scholarships to the Indigents in his areas.

In an interview, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Trade and Investment, Sir Michael Egwu,commended the sagacity of Hon Jerry Uzosike, whom he described as a younger brother, who has beaten the records of his predecessors.

According to the Permanent Secretary, the Lawmaker has succeeded in setting a high standard, such that any body coming into that position must be ready to surpass his achievements.

Sir Egwu revealed that the Lawmaker’s vision is to serve his people and that he has successfully done for the past two years.
