Merseyside Derby: We are not afraid of Liverpool-Everton Manager

Ahead of today’s Merseyside derby between Liverpool and Everton, Marco Silva, Everton manager has said that his team respect Liverpool as they respected Arsenal, Manchester United and Everton.

But, he added, “Fear is something that doesn’t come inside our dressing room. Respect, yes, but, we don’t change our ambition or style of play.”

Meanwhile, Liverpool will not have their captain, Jordan Henderson in this 232nd Merseyside derby as he was suspended after being sent-off last weekend.

Today’s match is the 100th league meeting between Liverpool and Everton at Anfield. They have drawn 33 times, Liverpool have won 43 times while the Toffees have won 23 times.

 

Wounded Chelsea Battle Ranieri’s Fulham in the London derby

Stamford Bridge will be on fire when Chelsea welcome their former manager Claudio Ranieri and his Fulham side. This is Chelsea’s first league match after Spurs ended their unbeaten run with a 3-1 victory at the Wembley Stadium.

Ranieri told the BBC, “Whenever I play my former teams, it’s always special. When you play against Chelsea, you have to be very attentive, but, we’re working hard and I’m confident it will be a very good derby.”
