Abia State Deputy Governor, Engr. Ikechukwu Emetu has condoled with the families of those whose loved ones were involved in the tragic road accident involving a motorcyclist carrying some students and a truck earlier today (Wednesday) in Amaekpu Ohafia, Ohafia Local government
In a release signed by his Chuef Press Secretary, Sir Cyril Chukwudi Eke Mba, Engr Emetu described the lost of lives of young students as a profound tragedy that leaves an indelible painful mark, not only on the families and communities as a whole.
He deployed the act of over speeding by some drivers as a perilous behaviour that endangers not only the driver but also the passengers and other road users.
The deputy governor, while describing every life as very precious, urged drivers and other road users to exercise caution, restraint and adhere to speed limits, as well remain vigilant and considerate on the roads.
He assured residents of the state that the state government would do everything possible to prevent such tragedies from occurring in the future.
