Delta Trains SERVICOM officers for enhanced service delivery under Governor Oborevwori’s MORE Agenda

The Delta State Government has called on civil servants to rededicate themselves to providing effective service delivery in line with Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s MORE Agenda.

This message was delivered during a one-day training for SERVICOM officers held in Asaba, recently.

Dr. Kingsley Emu, Secretary to the Delta State Government, emphasized that the state government is committed to improving service delivery across all ministries, departments, and agencies.

He stated, “As SERVICOM Officers, you should be knowledgeable about best practices, ethical standards, or innovative approaches to improve service delivery. Therefore, it is a clarion call for a shift from inefficiency to competence in public service delivery, and, as SERVICOM Ambassadors, you must prioritize citizen-centric service and continuous learning”.

Mr. Reginald Bayoko, the State Head of Service, added, “Governance is not merely about policies and legislation; but about effective impact. When responsibility is everyone’s business but no one’s priority, service delivery suffers. We cannot afford to let inefficiency and bureaucracy deprive our people of the quality services they deserve”.

Rt. Hon. Funkekeme Solomon, Senior Policy Adviser to the Governor, concluded, “As ambassadors of the MORE Agenda, you must have understanding of the principles of SERVICOM and be abreast with the key deliverables of the MORE Agenda. The Governor’s commitment to effective service delivery — quality outputs in terms of projects, programmes, and policies — is unambiguous, especially with the introduction of the whistle-blowing policy in the state”.
