Delta State Govt, NDDC, Chevron Partner on Omadino-Escravos Road Project

The Delta State Government has partnered with the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) and Chevron Nigeria Limited to develop the 70.75km Omadino-Okerenkoko-Escravos Road and associated bridges in Warri North Local Government Area.

Governor Sheriff Oborevwori made the disclosure recently at the Government House, Asaba, during a courtesy visit by the Managing Director of NDDC, Dr Samuel Ogbuku, and other executive directors of the commission. He noted that the project is designed to connect Warri to key oil-producing coastal communities, promoting economic activity, security, and infrastructure development in the region.

Governor Oborevwori assured that his administration is fully committed to delivering the project, emphasizing its potential to transform coastal communities. “Delta State is ready to partner with NDDC and Chevron to deliver this project,” he stated.

Dr Ogbuku reaffirmed NDDC’s commitment to improving the quality of life in the Niger Delta through strategic partnerships, citing the Ogbia-Nembe Road project as a model for future collaborations.

Chevron’s Engr. Segun Kuteyi confirmed the company’s dedication to completing the project, highlighting its potential to enhance oil production and economic activities. The road will provide direct access to major oil and gas installations, including Chevron’s Escravos Export Terminal, while boosting socio-economic activities and security in the regions
