Curfew in two L.G.As in Cross River State come to a halt.

After 22 days of curfew in Akpabuyo and Bakassi Local Government Areas of Cross River State, the State Governor, Senator Bassey Otu has suspended the curfew.

It will be recalled that Governor Otu had on the 3rd of July imposed a curfew in the areas from 7pm to 6am daily on account of insecurity.

The suspension, which came through a press release by the Deputy Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr Edem Darlington, revealed that there was need to suspend the curfew having reviewed the security situation in the areas.

The Governor went ahead and assure the residents of the areas of government protection of lives and properties, and instructed they go about their normal duties and businesses without fear of any sort.
