The Director-General of the Cross River Infrastructure Development Agency (CRSIDA), Dr. Effefiong Nta Eke, has emphasized the importance of engaging with contractors handling various infrastructure projects in the state. He highlighted this approach as crucial for ensuring better service delivery and the proper utilization of funds allocated for ongoing and upcoming projects.
Speaking to journalists in the state, Dr. Nta Eke acknowledged the government’s commitment to driving development across all sectors of the economy through a robust infrastructural agenda. He assured that the agency has outlined strategic plans to fulfill its mandate, leveraging his extensive experience to achieve set goals.
“The state is dedicated to fostering growth in every sector through massive infrastructural development. We have mapped out strategies to ensure these projects are effectively executed,” Dr. Nta Eke stated.
He also assured Cross River residents of improved infrastructure, urging them to support the state government’s efforts.
The DG issued a stern warning against unauthorized activities such as defacing pedestrian walkways and roads with billboards and flyers. He stressed that offenders would face strict penalties for violating agency regulations.
“We will not tolerate the destruction of roads or the unauthorized placement of billboards and flyers on pedestrian walkways. Offenders will be dealt with accordingly,” he warned.
Dr. Nta Eke concluded by reaffirming the agency’s commitment to delivering impactful infrastructure projects that will enhance the state’s development and the quality of life for its residents.
