Cross River State: Ministries, Departments, and Agencies Restructured

Some Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) in Cross River State, have been restructured by the State Government.

The restructuring was made known by the State Governor, Senator Bassey Otu, during the swearing-in of the newly appointed Commissioners, which took place at Dan Archibong Lodge Calabar, the Governor’s temporary office.

It will be recalled that the Governor had earlier recommended 26 Commissioners for approval by the State House of Assembly of which one person was rejected by the House. The Governor later recommended 6 more Commissioners making a total of 31 Commissioners in all, that would constitute the State Executive Council including the restructured MDAs.

Some of the Ministries restructured include Ministry of Agriculture, which has given way for Ministry of Crop and Irrigation Development, and Ministry of Livestock, Aquaculture and Fisheries Development.

Others are Ministry of Wealth Creation and Employment, Ministry of International Donor Coordination and the Ministry of Establishment, Training and Pension.
