The Cross River State House of Assembly has agreed to revive all the tourist sites in the State, thereby restoring her past glory as a tourist destination both local and international.
The decision was reached when Hon. Victor Ekpeyoung, a member representing Calabar South 2 constituency frowned and pointed out the deteriorating state of most of the tourist sites in the State, as well as reminded the House the economic benefits derived from these sites.

Ekpeyoung, also stressed that if the state can revive and upgrade the Obudu Mountain race, alongside others like Obudu Ranch Resort, Mary Slessor House, Marina Resort, Agbokim Waterfall, Tinapa Business and Leisure Resort and others which are all very well-known internationally, it will boost the economy of the state as well as attract tourists globally.
In agreement, the Speaker of the House Rt. Hon. Elvert Ayambem and the Deputy majority leader Rt. Hon. Davis Etta frowned and condemn the state’s negligence towards the sites, while the House adopted and voted in favour of the motion.
