In line with the state government’s directive that Religious worship centers in Abia are to ensure that for the next 4 weeks not more than 50 persons attend any of their worship streams and programs with a minimum sitting or standing distance of 1.5m apart from each other, the Winners chapel Umuahia, holds service under tight security
Though the church has already informed members to do the Sunday worship at their various cell locations or stream live to watch the services online, as the church would not want to be seen or heard defaulting the orders of the government.
At the Living Faith Church Ihie Ndume, Umuahia, church workers were fully on ground to ensure the number of fifty was not exceeded by not allowing members gain access into the church hall after the required number.
Our reporter observed that the church really adhered to the rules of social distancing,fifty persons per service and providing of sanitizers for members before they come into the church premises.
The Mission Inspection Pastor, Micheal Jayeoba in his message, gave assurance to the members that God will not leave them at this trying time,urging them to keep their faith alive.
Preaching on the topic” Understanding the Healing Power of the Anointing Oil”, the cleric said the anointing oil is a spiritual weapon used in adverting any form of plague, stating that, that is what Christians need at this time.
Pst Jayeoba said the anointing has the power to exempt anyone from the present pandemic ravaging the world and also has the ability to provoke divine healing.
According to him, the Anointing Oil has the power of God in it and anywhere it is used, God shows up.
Meanwhile the resident Pastor of LFC Umuahia, Pst Nwagu Okenwa advised members to adhere strictly to government’s instructions as well as engage the alter of prayer for the stop of the pandemic, adding that church services would be done at home cell levels pending when the ban on gatherings would be lifted.
He also hinted the members that the church would be engaging on a three day fasting and praying for God to intervene and show mercy to nations of the world
