Covid 19: Hear what Hon Okeke told indigenes of Arochukwu

The Leader of the Arochukwu Local Government Legislative Council, Hon. Sam Charles Okeke,has urged his people to endure the pains associated with the lockdown, that was necessitated to contain the spread of Covid-19 in the state,saying the move is for the good of all.

Speaking to Journalists shortly after the introduction of Hon JJ. Okorie as the coordinator of the Covid 19 taskforce for Arochukwu/ Ohafia Local governments, Hon. Okeke said that the lockdown measure remains the only option for government to guard the spread of the virus in Abia state.

He further said that though there are pains and hardship associated with it but it still remains the best weapon in the fight against covid 19.

The Arochukwu born Politician commended the people of the area for their support to the state government and for complying with the guidelines enumerated by the state government and expressed gratitude to God that the state has not recorded any index case.

Hon. Okeke further eulogized the state governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu for all the measures so far applied and for the palliative given to cushion the effects of the lockdown.

He assured that the people of the council would continue to collaborate with the state government in its efforts against the possible spread of the virus.
