Covid -19: Fuel dealers inflict more hardship on Abians

 

 

Barely few hours to the total  lock down of activities in Abia state, petroleum dealers in Umuahia, the Abia state capital city, have inflicted more hardship on Abians by selling petrol above the official pump price of #125.

This evening, it was observed that almost all the fuel stations in the Umuahia metropolis were locked down in a bid to hoard fuel product, while the few that were opened were selling a litre of fuel between #135-#200 as against the official pump price of #125.

One would wonder why these fuel dealers would decide to add to the suffering of Nigerians amidst the negative effect caused already by coronavirus.

Recall, that the Federal Government in a bid to cushion the effect of coronavirus, brought down the price of petrol from #145 to #125
