Six stadia will host the 54 matches of the AFCON.
The Olembe Stadium
The Olembe Stadium is located in Yaounde, the capital city. It will host the opening match -Cameroon vs Burkina Faso- and the final match of the AFCON. The stadium has a capacity of 60,000.
The Limbe Stadium
The Limbe Stadium is eight kilometers from the city centre and has a seating capacity of 20,000. The stadium which was built in 2014 offers a breathtaking view of the nearby Atlantic Ocean.
The stadium hosted the women’s AFCON in 2016, and the CHAN championship earlier this year.
It will host the group F match between The Carthage Eagles of Tunisia and the Eagles of Mali.
The Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium
The sports complex is also known as Yaounde Omnisports stadium . It has a capacity of 40,000 seats. The stadium was built and inaugurated in 1972. It is located in the heart of the city centre, in the district of Mfandena. The stadium underwent renovation in 1981, 1996, 2016, and 2018.
This stadium will host the group C clash between the Atlas Lions of Morocco and the Black Stars of Ghana.
Japoma Multisport Complex
The Japoma stadium is located in Douala. It was built in 2019 and has a capacity of 50,000 spectators.
The stadium hosted the CHAN 2020 championship and also hosted the Central African Republic 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier matches, including the one they played against Nigeria.
Bafoussam-Kouekong Stadium
The new Bafoussam stadium is located in Kouekong, 16 kilometers from the city on the road to Foumbot. The stadium was opened in 2016 and has a 20,000-seat capacity.
It will host the battle between Teranga Lions of Senegal and the Syli National of Guinea.
Roumde-Adjia Stadium
The Roumde-Adjia stadium was inaugurated in 1978 and renovated in 2010. It has a capacity of 23,000 seats. This is where the Super Eagles will play their group matches, especially the epic clash against the Pharaohs of Egypt.
