Consult widely before stating community decision, Oko Chukwu

The deputy governor of Abia state,  Sir Ude Oko Chukwu has stressed the need for those who arrogate themselves the power of community spokesperson to always brief the people properly of their decision.

Sir Oko Chukwu stated this when the Ohafia Legislative Council paid him a solidarity visit at the  government house,  umuahia.  said that this have become necessary to guard against recurring situations where individuals stood to speak their mind as that of the community.

He expressed surprise on the visit of the council, noting that he was overwhelmed by their love and solidarity and greater support of exhibited by the people of Ohafia local government towards him and the governor.
Sir Okochukwu disclosed that governor Ikpeazu had demonstrated immense love for Ohafia people through appointment of their indigenes into sensitive positions, road projects, model school, golf course among others & pledged the determination of the state government to continue to provide dividends of democracy to the people of the state at large.

Earlier, the leader of the delegation, Mr. Ifegwu Iro said that the larger Ohafia people are highly impressed with the leadership style of the state government which had reflected in massive infrastructural transformation of the state.

Mr. Iro commended the deputy governor for distinguishing himself in the service to the state and pledged that Ohafia people would support the reelection of the governor and his deputy come 2019.

In their separate remarks, Mr. Chris Nkume from Amaogudu ward 2, Mr. Kalu Nwoko, Ohafia clan and Mr. Obasi Agbaeze from Nkporo clan all described the deputy governor as a worthy ambassador of the Ohafia people and assured that noting would stop the PDP from landslide victory in the general elections.

The high points of the event was a motion for the reelection of the governor and his deputy and the presentation of endorsement certificate to the governor and his deputy.
