Ahead of the primaries of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), two constituents of the Ukwa East/Ukwa West Federal Constituency in Abia State have dragged their Federal Lawmaker, Hon. Uzoma Nkem Abonta to the Federal High Court in Umuahia for alleged financial misappropriation.

The plaintiffs in the matter, Hon. (Chief) Uche Sunday Aja and Chief Chisom Nwachukwu, who are members of the PDP, have alleged that many constituency projects meant for the Ukwa East/Ukwa West Federal Constituency were diverted by Hon. Abonta, to himself and lackeys thereby emasculating their Federal Constituency.

The plaintiffs also alleged that the federal lawmaker, who has been in the National Assembly for almost 16 years has been most inept, incompetent, corrupt and covetous in representing them and other constituents.
