Collaboration With Religious Institutions Key To Social Stability- Otti

Abia State Governor, Dr Alex Otti, has stressed the importance of collaboration between government, religious institutions and community organisations in promoting sound social values and strengthening family structures.

Governor Otti stated this on Saturday during the dedication and official opening of the newly built fellowship house, “Rocoboth Auditorium”, of the Singles and Married International Fellowship Outreach at Umuekwule, Umuopara in Umuahia South Local Government Area.

The Governor congratulated the founder of the ministry, Pastor Mrs Chioma Ibezim, describing the facility as a significant initiative that would contribute to family stability and social harmony.

“I just want to congratulate you. And I assure you that the government which you are part of, will be by you to support you. If there’s anything we can do to support you, it’s just a phone call away”, Governor Otti said.

He described the auditorium as a multi-purpose facility designed to support various activities of the ministry, including programmes aimed at resolving conflicts within families.

Governor Otti noted that initiatives focused on family counselling and moral guidance complement the efforts of government in maintaining social stability and fostering responsible communities.

He also commended the Senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, Dr Paul Enenche, and his wife, Pastor Becky Enenche, for honouring the invitation to attend the event and for their observations about his administration’s modest achievements in the State.

The Governor who reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to improving the State’s development trajectory, described Abia as a blessed State with a rich spiritual heritage.

“So it is God’s own State and it’s not for nothing. This is a State that is blessed.

“And if you are in doubt, I will tell you that our father in the Lord, who is lying now, waiting to be laid to rest, Rev. Dr. Uma Ukpai hailed from this State.

“And after his burial, we will honour him in a great way. Because God used him”, Governor Otti revealed.

In a sermon, the Founder and President of Ministers Prayer Network International, Rev. Prof. Mosy Madugba, emphasised the importance of dedicating places of worship and living a life of covenant with God, assuring believers of divine guidance.

Madugba congratulated Prof. Emma Ibezim and Pastor Mrs Chioma Ibezim for their vision and prayed that the facility would serve as a centre where broken hearts would be healed and hope restored.
