Cleric Highlights Meaning of Christ’s Sacrifice at Easter

A Christian cleric, Pastor Chukwudi Uche, has called on Christians to reflect on the significance of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, describing it as the ultimate demonstration of God’s love for humanity.

Speaking in an interview in Port Harcourt on Easter Monday, Uche said the Easter celebration reminds believers of the suffering, humiliation and sacrifice Christ endured on the cross to redeem mankind from sin and eternal condemnation.

According to him, the crucifixion and resurrection of Christ symbolize the restoration of hope, healing and new life for those who accept Him as Lord and personal Saviour.

He explained that Easter also serves as a period for Christians across the world to renew their faith, dedicate their lives to God and embrace the virtues of peace, love and sacrifice.

The evangelist urged believers to demonstrate genuine love toward one another and remain obedient to Christ’s teachings, noting that repentance and faith are essential for attaining eternal life.

Uche also extended Easter greetings to Christians worldwide, praying for God’s blessings, protection and peace upon all believers.

He added that beyond the celebration, the greatest message of Easter remains God’s immeasurable love for humanity, demonstrated through the sacrifice of His only begotten Son for the redemption of mankind.
