CILGPAN Inducts Sammie Agbo, 18 Other Nigerians As New Fellows

ENUGU- The Chartered Institute of Local Government and Public Administration of Nigeria (CILGPAN) on Saturday inducted the immediate past Senior Special Assistant (SPA) to the former Chairman, Enugu South LGA, on media, Mr. Sammie Agbo as new Fellow of the Institute.

Mr. Sammie Agbo, who is also an administrator and community leader was decorated with the CILGPAN Fellowship Medallion along with others by the Institute’s Vice President, Prof. Fred Eze, at a very colourful CILGPAN 2022 annual conference held in Enugu.

The CILGPAN Fellowship Induction and Decoration ceremony held on Saturday, 12th November, 2022 at the Top Rank hotel in Enugu to round off the two-day CILGPAN brainstorming session on how to develop local government system.

Many statesmen and women inducted as CILGPAN Fellows included the Chairman, Enugu State Local Government Service Commission, Prof. Dan Osy Okanya; and Commissioner 1 of the Commission, Hon. Peter Nnaji.

Mr. Sammie Agbo, had about a year ago joined the CILGPAN in Enugu, and was inducted as a Fellow after scaling through the CILGPAN Fellowship Upgrading courses.

The Chartered Institute of Local Government and Public Administration of Nigeria (CILGPAN), founded in 1996 and chartered by act of parliament No. 1 of 2017 and signed by President Muhammadu Buhari, in 2018, is saddled with the responsibility to ensure professionalism in the system and for related matters.

The event attracted stakeholders across the country including, the Registrar of the institute, Mr. Uche Okereke.
