The Chief Press Secretary to Abia State Governor, Mr. Enyinnaya Apollos said that both chieftains of All Progressives Congress, APC, and All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA, from Ukwa /Ngwa extraction has unanimously agreed to vote in favour of the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu for second term in office.
Apollos who stated this today at his country home of Isikor in Obingwa Local Government Area of Abia State said, this is in accordance with the Abia Charter of equity because previous Governors from both Abia North and Central completed their second terms without hitches.
According to him, it is against the norm of equity if we fail to re-elect the incumbent Governor.
So far the voting processes is going well and peaceful without violence.
He commended the Independent National Electoral Commission for the level of progress made so far adding that the card readers are working well without challenge as experienced in the last poll.
The Governor’s CPS who cast his vote at the polling unit 006, Isikor ward 3, maintained that he is satisfied with the level of electorate turn up adding that he is confident that PDP will emerge victorious.
