Chief Israel Chinemerem Nweke laid to rest in Osisioma Ngwa
The remains of the immediate past Mayor of Osisioma Ngwa local government, Chief Israel Chinemerem Nweke, has been committed to the mither earth in his Amavo-Ukwu, Osisioma Ngwa.
Speaking during the funeral Service, Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti described the death of Chief Nweke as a huge loss, not only to the family in particular but Abia in general.
Represented by his Deputy, Engr Ikechukwu Emetu, the governor recall the ate Nweke’s leadership strides and grassroots development stating further that he left an enduring legacies as a respected leader, business man, and philanthropist and encouraged his family to embrace peace, love, unity and understanding to strengthen their bond with one another.
He prayed to God to comfort the wife and children as well as the entire Osisioma Ngwa, as whole and grant them the grace to bear the irreparable loss.
Earlier in his sermon, Dr. J.K Amah, of the Assemblies of God Church, Osisioma Ngwa District,who spoke on the topic “A Day of Reflection”, reminded Christians that life is temporal; eternity real but, there is hope for those that trust in God.
Dr. Amah, charged individuals, organizations, and indeed the Church to strengthen their faith in God, noting that our choices in life determines our final destinations when we die.
In their tributes, his wife of the deceased, Mrs. Grace Nweke, and her children, described their late father as a man who provided the best for his family as well as gave his time, resources and strength, for the service of God and humanity urged all to forgive and pray for him.
Also, the immediate past Mayor of Isialangwa South LGA, Chief Elelenta Elele, speaking on behalf of the immediate past Mayors of the state, prayed God to fill the void created by late Nweke’s demise.
