Chelsea: UK Parliament Ban Abramovich

The United Kingdom government has sanctioned Chelsea owner, Roman Abramovich as part of its response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

The Russian billionaire recently put the club up for sale after the threat of sanctions was raised in the UK Parliament.

This sanction which includes freezing of Abramovich’s assets, including Chelsea Football Club, means the club cannot sell further match tickets, sell jerseys, sell or buy players, etc. The aim of all this is to stop Abramovich from making money from Chelsea.
