Nigerian clubs Enyimba International and Rivers United have been paired against North African opponents for the play-offs of this season’s CAF Confederation Cup.
Enyimba will take on Al Ittihad of Libya, while Rivers United will lurk horns with Al Masry of Egypt.
To get to this stage, Enyimba International thrashed Diambars Football Club of Senegal 4-0 on aggregate while Al Ittihad crashed out of the CAF Champions League after losing by a lone goal to Esperance of Tunisia.
After being eliminated from the CAF Champions League by Al Hilal of Sudan, Rivers United dropped to the CAF Confederation Cup to confront North African side Al Masry of Egypt.
The Port Said based club got to this stage after eliminating Uganda Revenue Authority Football Club by a lone goal.
