The second leg first round of this season’s CAF Champions League and CAF Confederation Cup started yesterday and will continue today.
Nigeria representatives in both competitions Lobi Stars of Makurdi and Rangers International of Enugu will be in action later today.
In the Champions League, Lobi Stars suffered a 1-0 defeat in the first leg played in Yaoundé against UMS de Loums of Cameroon. The Nigerian side must beat their opponents by a two goal margin to progress to the second round.
In the CAF Confederation Cup Rangers International of Enugu defeated Defense Forces of Ethiopia 2-0 in Enugu and will qualify if they do not lose by two goals margin.
