The People’s Elephant, Enyimba International of Aba will know their opponents for the preliminary round of the 2023/24 CAF Champions League on Tuesday when the draws will take place at CAF Headquarters in Cairo, Egypt.
54 clubs from 42 Member Associations are engaged in this season’s CAF Champions League, while 52 clubs representing 41 Member Associations will compete in the CAF Confederation Cup.
The two time CAF Champions League winners qualified to represent Nigeria in Africa’s flagship club competition after emerging champions of this season’s Nigerian Premier Football League and will be joined by Remo Stars, who emerged runners-up in the league.
Last season’s champions, Rivers United, who emerged third this season will represent Nigeria in the CAF Confederation Cup along side the Federation Cup champions, Bendel Insurance.
