Bribery: WAEC challenges Briggs to produce evidence

The West African Examination Council WAEC has challenged the chairman Rivers State Senior Secondary Schools Board David Briggs to present evidence backing his claims that he collects money to recruit teachers as supervisors.

WAEC coordinator in Port Harcourt Zone Geshon Dandak clarified that teachers were recruited based on nomination by the schools principals through the State Ministry of Education.

Mr Dandak also explained that WAEC does not have any dealing with State Senior Secondary School Board when it comes to dealing with recruitment of supervisors for their examinations.

” The procedure is a simple one. Nomination forms are sent to public schools through the Ministry Of Education.
