The Deputy Governor of Abia State, Sir Ude Oko Chukwu has said that the present administration is committed to ensure that democracy dividends is extended to Abia North Zone and state at large.
Sir. Oko Chukwu who stated this during a courtesy visit by Executive members of Abia North Unique Woman on him at Government House, Umuahia restated Government’s desire to deliver on all its Campaign promises to the people of Abia by changing the developmental narratives of Abia in their resolve to make Abia better for future generation.
The Deputy Governor appreciated their enormous support for the administration of Governor Ikpeazu especially their massive support that led to the enthronement of this present administration and urged Abia North women not to relent in their loyalty and support to the PDP and state at large.
He further commended the contribution of women to the development of the state as well as for their commitment and standing out for the women folk in the state through their advocacy programmes and urged them to continue to protect the welfare of women assuring them of Government’s support to enable them continue to excel.
Earlier in her remarks, the President, Abia North Unique Woman, Mrs. Chinasa John who commended the good and cordial working relationship that has existed between the Governor and his Deputy which is unprecedented as well as what he is doing in Abia North Zone and called for more empowerment of women from Abia North Zone.
