BREAKING: NFF Sacks Gernot Rohr

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has fired Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr, and appointed its Technical Director, Augustine Eguavoen, to take charge of the team on an interim basis.

Eguavoen will work with Salisu Yusuf, Paul Aigbogun, Joseph Yobo, Dr Terry Eguaoje and Aloysius Agu.

Eguavoen will most likely take the Super Eagles, to the 33rd Africa Cup of Nations taking place in Cameroon from 9th January to 6th February 2022.

Recall that Eguavoen was in charge of the Super Eagles when they got to the semi-final of the AFCON in 2006
