BRAZIL 2019: Golden Eaglets Come From Behind Twice To Beat Hungary

The Golden Eaglets of Nigeria came from behind twice to defeat Hungary 4-2 in their first group B match of the FIFA U-17 World Cup in Brazil.

Hungary took the lead on the 3^rd minute through Gyorgy Komaromi. Nigeria’s captain, Samson Tijani converted a 20^th minute penalty to restore parity.

Eight minutes later Samuel Major fire Hungary in front again.

After the break, Nigeria sustained pressure on their opponents until the 79^th minute when Usman Ibrahim equalized for Nigeria. Two minutes later, Oluwatimilehin Adeniyi put Nigeria in front for the first time in the game.

Nigeria’s three points was guaranteed when their captain, Samson Tijani scored  from a free kick on the 85^th minute.

Nigeria’s next match will be against Ecuador on Tuesday.

In the other match played simultaneously, host, Brazil crushed Canada 4-1.
