Bende Council Boss, Nwankwo Charges Bende Ovu Eze-elect, Okorie

The Mayor, Bende Local Government Area (LGA), Abia state, Barr. Chijioke Nwankwo, have charged the Eze-elect, Bende Ovu autonomous community, Elder Michael Nnadi Okorie to lead his community with the fear of God.

The Mayor who stated this in Bende LG Council when delegates from Bende Ovu autonomous community formally presented their Eze-elect to the LG Council headquarters, urged him to make community service a priority.

Nwankwo who congratulated him on his selection by his community, also advised him to make truth and justice his standpoint in order to make peace and democracy dividends available to his subjects.

The Eze-elect, Bende Ovu autonomous community, Elder Michael Nnadi Okorie in his acceptance speech, promise to queue into the New Abia mantra of Governor Alex Otti, adding that he would use everything at his disposal to serve his community and humanity at large.

Eze-elect Okorie, was selected as replacement of their Late traditional ruler HRH Eze Nelson Emmanuel Arua Kalu who died some years ago.

Presenting the Eze-elect to the Council Boss alongside the traditional prime minister, Mr. Monday Okorie among others, President-General (PG) of the community, Chief Loveday C. Kalu disclosed that due process was strictly adhered with in the selection of Elder Okorie as their Eze-elect in line with the relevant laws of the land.

Meanwhile, the Chairman Bende traditional Rulers council HRM Eze Uchendu Okorie congratulated the Eze-Elect for his selection and charge his people to rally round him to make his reign a success.
