The Nigerian Super Beach Eagles were beaten by Senegal 1-6 in the final of the Beach AFCON held in Egypt. In the previous edition the Senegalese defeated the Super Beach Eagles 8-2.
Friday’s victory was Senegal’s fifth African title.
Both teams have qualified for the FIFA Beach World Cup slated for Paraguay next year.
In the third-placed match, host Egypt beat their North African brothers Morocco 3-2.
