The Mayor of Umuahia north local government area in Abia State Hon. Ugochukwu Njinkonye, have charged the Eze Elect of Afaraukwu Autonomous community, Chief Chukwuemeka Nwabiala to be magnanimous in victory and take the entire community as his constituency, even as he enjoined him not to discriminate against those that didn’t support him.
This call was made during the official presentation of Chief Chukwuemeka Nwabiala, to the Chairman as the Eze-Elect of Afaraukwu Autonomous Community.
Hon Njinkonye advised him to seek wise counsel from elders of His community as well as opinion molders, women and youth, insisting that people will come with diverse ideas, opinions and suggestions.
He asked him to always give a listening ear to his subjects ,while praying that succeeds on the throne.
Contributing ,Archbishop of Umuahia Methodist archdiocese, His Grace, Most Rev.d Raphael Chibuzo Opoko, charged the Eze Elect to make God his refuge and always seek God guildiance before embarking on any venture.
Opoko assured him that if he acknowledges God first in all that he do, he will not lack wisdom to rule his people.
Earlier in his address, the traditional prime minister of Afaraukwu Autonomous Community Chief Chimechefulam Odoemelam, stated that all machineries to elect a new Eze for the community was duly followed in compliance with the lay down rules as enshrined in Afaraukwu Autonomous community constitution and code of conduct.
He used the forum to pledge the community’s loyalty and support to the government of Abia state ably led by Okezie Victor Ikpeazu, PhD.
Responding after presentation, the Eze Elect of Afaraukwu Autonomous community Sir Chief Chukwuemeka Nwabiala, said that he realized that was only God that could crown one King.
He promised that his reign will bring peace, progress and development to his community.
Chief Nwabiala further highlighted that when he was in active service, he attracted world Bank and Ehimiri Housing Estate in Umuahia respectively.
The Eze-Elect requested Abia state Government to Accord his community the required honour and rite due to it as a community that houses the seat of power.
In his vote of thanks, a community leader and chairman screening community Chief Felix Onyemaobi, described the resounding victory of Chief Chukwuemeka Nwabiala, as a round peg in a round hole
Onyemaobi prayed God to give him wisdom and knowledge to pilot the affairs of Afaraukwu Autonomous community.
The ceremony attracted the presence of the deputy Chiarman of Umuahia North Chief Bob Ogechi Agbugba, former Programme Manager ADP, Chief Bathlome Onyemaobi, other council officials, women of the community, youths and various dance groups.
