The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential Candidate for the 2019 General Elections, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar
has said he would restore the nation’s economy,create massive employment opportunities and conducive environment for business to thrive across the six geo-political zones of the country if voted into power.
Atiku who was speaking at the PDP South East Zonal Rally held at the Dan Ayiam Stadium Owerri said the rate of unemployment in the country under the APC leadership has not only increased but equally empoverished Nigerians.
He pleged to restructure Nigeria and ensure equitable distribution of resources and positions across the six geo-political zones of the country,urging the electorates to come out and vote for the PDP so as to secure their future.
Also speaking at the rally the national chairman of PDP Prince Uche Secondus while noting that the PDP candidates are tested and trusted and have the capacity to lead,described the PDP as the only party that has the capacity to salvage Nigeria from its present predicaments and challenged Nigerians electorates to vote and protect their votes.
The PDP National Chairman accused the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) of compromising with the APC to rig the forth coming elections pointing out that if the elections are rigged,it will cause crises in Nigeria.
He therefore cautioned INEC and security agencies to be neutral in the conduct of the forth coming elections.
PDP Vice presidential Candidate Peter Obi and the Director General of the Atiku/Obi campaign organization, Dr. Bukola Saraki urged the people of the south East zone to vote for PDP candidates in the coming elections.
They noted that the PDP presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar will restructure and unite Nigeria.
Governor Dave Umahi who spoke on behalf of the South East PDP Governors said the zone supports the candidature of Atiku / Obi and would vote massively in the coming elections.
Five PDP Governorship Candidates from the South East Zone including Governor Okezie Ikpeazu were presented with Party flags at the Rally.
