Today was a special day in the career progression of Inspector George, a security aide attached to the office of the Deputy Governor, Abia State,as he was decorated with a new rank of Assistant superintendent of Police (ASP).
The decoration,which attracted friends, colleagues and relations of the newly decorated officer,was carried out by the Deputy Governor of Abia state, Sir Ude Oko Chukwu and assisted by Chief Security Officer(CSO),Government House, SP Emeka Ubani,represented by the Unit Commander,Government House,ASP Godspower Naiboki and O/C Provost/Training, Government House, ASP Nwamaga Innocent,at the office of the deputy governor, Government House, Umuahia.

Speaking,Sir Oko Chukwu,commended ASP Adekunle Yusuf,for attaining the new rank which he said was an evidence of his commitment,dedication and diligence to duty.
He urged him not to relent but redouble his efforts as to attract more promotions in life.
Sir Oko Chukwu appreciated the Inspector General of Police for the honour done to one of his security aides, as well as thanked the Nigeria Police for what they are doing to protect lives and property and urged them to continue with the good work they are doing in the state and nation.
Speaking with our correspondent, Inspector Ukwu Uka and Mrs Joy Uzomba,colleagues of the newly adorned,described him as an honest, exemplary and trust worthy Police officer who always distinguished himself in the course of his duty.

Responding, ASP George Adekunle Yusuf,thanked God for the grace and the Nigeria Police for finding him worthy for the promotion and promised to sustain his commitment to service.
He equally thanked the deputy governor for the opportunity to work with him, as well as thanked all who graced the occasion.
