‘ASOPADEC under Gov Ikpeazu is on course’ – Nwogu

The Chairman, Abia State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (ASOPADEC), Chief Sam Nwogu says the agency is on course with many achievements to match, under Governor Okezie Ikpeazu.

Fielding questions from newmen in Umuahia Abia State capital, Nwogu stated that ASOPADEC has benefitted immensely from the leadership style of the Governor through constant funding and non interference in their activities.

He disclosed that intervention agency has rehabilitated over 30 schools, community halls, roads, donated motorized boreholes to communities among others adding that they are currently reconstructing nine roads in Ukwa West LGA.

The ASOPADEC boss disclosed that they have awarded scholarship to 100 students to study in Abia state University as well as entered into partnership with RHEMA University Aba among other institutions to train and empower artisans.

He pointed out that Traditional Rulers from Ukwa area had earlier received 21 Jeeps from ASOPADEC.

The former Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) Commissioner, further revealed that their projects cuts across the three senatorial zones adding that they recently commissioned seven projects in Abia North.

He noted that ASOPADEC has been implementing all its projects in the state thanking Governor Okezie Ikpeazu for declaring state of emergency on Aba roads and described Abia as number one state in covid- 19 management and distribution of relief materials.

He stressed the need for all to exercise patience with the administration of the Gov. Ikpeazu and call for continuous support in order to drive his vision for the state.

The Asa-born politician advised the Abia governor to use his good office to revive all moribund industries in the state in order to create more job opportunities for the teeming unemployed.
