Apugo speaks on challenges of leadership

The member representing Umuahia East State Constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly, Hon. Chukwudi Apugo says the call to serve the public is not easy considering the challenges facing leadership.

The lawmaker disclosed this in Umuahia while interacting with newsmen on his achievements since he emerged the representative of Umuahia East State Constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly in 2015. He pledged to make education of the youth in his constituency a top priority if re-elected by his constituents.

Chukwudi Apugo, noted that education of the youth remains the best way to empower and preparing them for challenges and future tasks, adding that through education many doors will open for an individual.

He pledged to constitute a group that will handle education of his constituents and it will be free tuition, so that illiterates will not be found in hirs constituency.

He however highlighted some to include: building of more than ten civic town halls-Umuezeagwu , Umueze, Ossah, among others; purchase of school bands for the following primary schools in his constituency: Isieke primary school, Ajata primary school, Nkata primary school, Okwuta primary school, Ahiaeke primary school, Ohokobe/ Umuohu primary school among others.

He informed that he single handedly attracted a model school to his constituency at Ossah out of the four model schools set up by the Abia State Government, pointing out that he has paid an hundred and ten people bursary in his constituency since 2015 till date.
