Abia State Commissioner for Youth Development, Chief Ike Anyatonwu, has assured that Isiala Ngwa South Local Government Area would deliver all People’s Democratic Party candidates come 2019 general polls.
Anyatonwu who disclosed this to newsmen at Umuala Ngwaobi in Isiala Ngwa South, home of the Speaker of Abia House of Assembly, said plans are underway to ensure that Isiala Ngwa South would vote massively to reelect their sons, Governor Okezie Ikpeazu, Hon. Darlington Nwokocha and the Speaker, Abia State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Chikwendu Kalu including other PDP candidates in the oncoming general elections.
While expressing delight on his appointment as the Director General of Rt. Hon Chikwendu Kalu’s Electoral Advisory committee, Chief Anyatonwu, further emphasized that the existing harmonious relationship amongst the political gladiators within the area would foster the needed victory noting that Isiala Ngwa South people are staunch PDP members.
He urged the people of Isiala Ngwa South to remain focused and vote wisely in the 2019 polls.
Meanwhile, a frontline politician and a Former House of Representatives member, Chief Darmian Ozurumba, also declared their readiness to ensure victory for the PDP candidates.
Ozurumba who was an active member of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, in the 2015 general elections revealed that he decided to return to the PDP, having sojourned in opposition party for along time with a view to join forces with Governor Okezie Ikpeazu who according to him has performed creditably since elected Governor of the State.
The founder and the Board of Trustees Chairman of the political group, Onuochi Foundation, further added that as an Ngwa-man he sees no reason to oppose a man who has delivered quality democracy dividends to Abians and is bent on doing more if reelected.
He, therefore, pledged total support to Governor Ikpeazu’s re-election bid and other PDP flagbearers in the State and beyond.
