In a bid to promote grassroots economic empowerment and sustainable community development, the Chima Anyaso Foundation (CAF) will launch the Ofuji Bende Women Cash Support for Petty Traders initiative, aimed at providing direct financial assistance to women engaged in small-scale trading across Bende Federal Constituency.
The programme is designed to strengthen local businesses, enhance family livelihoods, and improve economic resilience for women, who are widely recognised as the backbone of the local economy. Organisers say the initiative underscores the belief that empowering women drives overall community growth.
The event is scheduled to take place on Friday, 6th February 2026, at Ofuji Resort, Onu Ibina, Igbere, Abia State, beginning at 2:00 PM. All beneficiaries, stakeholders, and community members are encouraged to attend and participate in this important step towards economic inclusion, dignity of labour, and social development.
In a statement, the Director-General of the Chima Anyaso Foundation, DG Chima Anyaso, highlighted the importance of the initiative in creating opportunities for sustainable prosperity at the grassroots level. “We believe that when women are empowered, communities thrive. This programme reflects our shared responsibility to uplift one another and ensure inclusive growth,” he said.
The cash support initiative is part of the foundation’s broader commitment to champion economic empowerment, strengthen small businesses, and foster an environment where women can succeed and contribute meaningfully to community development.
